Though born and raised in northern New England, Dr. O’Brien has resided in Lancaster County ’s southern end since 1992. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry and commenced practicing optometry in Quarryville in June of that year. He previously enjoyed a career in certified public accounting until returning to academia to pursue the field of optometry. Outside the practice Dr. O’Brien enjoys spending time with his wife, Judy, family, outdoor activities, mechanical restorations, and pursuing his Christian beliefs.

Retirement

After considering early retirement for two to three years, Dr. O’Brien formally retired on April 30^th, 2019. He will not be idle as he plans to further his personal study of Biblical doctrines. He also plans to work on numerous home projects, spend time outdoors, and help friends and family. He will miss all of his patients, the Quarryville Eyecare staff, and long-time partner, Dr. Robinson.
